When I was little me and my folks would go to Swamp Guinnia or however you spell it once a month at least.
Been to Charlie Williams Pinecrest Lodge more times than I can remember too.
Man this brings back long gone memories.

This I believe was in Hartwell.

Like I said my in laws loved the fried oysters, and coming from land-locked Illinois were a real treat for them. They were only there a couple times but whenever they came down to GA they would always want to go to Charley Williams.

Charlie Williams had three places open here for a time. The original, one on Timothy and another next to McDonalds out by Athens Tech. The one by Athens Tech opened up and maybe a year later they all closed down.

Didn't they briefly open a location on 316 across from the Gwinnett airport in Lawrenceville?? Or am I just a confused old man. It was open less than a year.
