one for the Tasco haters

I hope you're right. I've seen them fail in fewer than 20 rounds. I've also seen them last for over 1000. It's a crap shoot.

This. I have two tasco red dots. One is broke just after 100 rounds of .22lr. The other one has worked great since the day I bought it. For the money you are paying for them you really roll the dice.

Pop has a Tasco World Class on his 270 and likes it. I have a 20+ year old Simmons Wide Angle on my Marlin 336...never had to re-sight, even though I check it every year before deer season. New rig is a little higher end (Sightron on an X-Bolt), and I hope it holds up as well as my cheap set-up.

Most deer hunting around here...as long as the scope holds zero...most shots are under 150 yards (at least where I hunt)...so almost any scope works for me. Don't ask me why I built a long-range gun...

I have an old simmons wide view on a. 25-06 I built. I love it.. and you should never have to question owning large cal. Rifles.. im finishing up a. 338 mag now..
