Only one custom built centerfire cartridge rifle

I flew with ammo. Just like anywhere else in the US

Where it get's difficult, but it's the rifle, is Canada. Lot's of folks will buy a rifle in Canada and just leave it due to how big a PITA it is
Ouch that burns! There goes the high dollar custom and hello Ruger American gen ll. 🤣

and away we go, the xspurts have arrived with their infinite wisdom. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa!!!!! Capt Pissy Pants leading the charge

It's feasible to take a rifle to Canada and back, but lots and lots of paperwork and approvals. Easy answer? Don't go to Canada.

Alaska is the US. It isn't difficult to get into and out of with ammo and rifle. And AK is a different world. Gun are more than accepted there, and expected. Just watch the departures lane next time there. It's wild, and awesome.

I like it! Now you are taking my language! On the down side your hunt for ammo in a different state might be tough. Until you run into one of those trading post that just carry all the new and old goodness. I would think a good outfitter in those far out places would be well stocked however, you never know. You could find 300 win mag at the mom and pops store down the road. Just making a valid point to consider when choosing. If you fly up to Alaska that could very well be a problem. The cost of ammo and everything else for that matter is outrageous but that would be a great round in game.
I know several folks in Alaska that stock the PRC cartridges. Also, if I'm buying the cartridge, I'll have plenty of ammo to go with the gun. I won't have to worry about buying more in the near future. I never go anywhere with a gun on a trip without plenty of ammo.

I’ve flown with a 20mm Vulcan Gatling gun and 940 rounds

Don't get me wrong I would love to build a gun in 300 PRC. As I am building a 6.5 PRC now and know first hand the effective kill range of that caliber. I would very much like a custom rifle in 300 PRC. However, since I can't afford a $3,500 custom build I would do a DIY bolt build in a minute. A situation where I could buy components piece by piece and go that route. Which is a highly likely scenario after this build. All the components are purchased for the 6.5 PRC I am just waiting for them all to show up.

I just wasn't sure about availability being it's a fairly new introduction to the market. I wasn't sure just how successful and readily available the 300 PRC has been on shelves. Or how much of a hit it has been with consumers. That's all I was concerned about.
