Optic on EDC or no?

I switched to dots and love them now. I will say this…..if your edc is your lifeline maybe consider a different dot. I run swampfox dots and abuse them. Hold zero no problem. They have the same footprint as the rmrcc…..

Now for probably the most important part….don’t put the dot on and not practice presentation. Take the time to develop muscle memory. It’s not the same initially as irons. It took me a bit to master it but after you do you will never turn back. It’s not unusual to hit targets at distance….accurately and consistently with the dot also.

For me I love it. I run them on my g34 and g43x. Good luck and merry Christmas y’all.

Totally agree with this!

Shameless plug as I have several Green & Red dots for sale right now!

Just do it. Why buy a mos pistol and not use it!

Seems like everyone is strongly in favor of the optic, I guess I'm doing it then. I'll take your word for it and just get the 365x by itself and shop for the optic separately.
I look to competition shooters to see what gear works and what doesn’t. Competition shooters beat gear pretty hard, spend a ton of money on ammo and practice, and generally go with what works since there’s a lot on the line. Government/military usually follows afterwards.

Dots have rules the go-fast division “open” since I started In the early 2000s. Dots are a requirement to be competitive in that division because they absolutely make someone willing to do the work/training faster and more accurate at speed.
Really good resource and these pictures show what minimally trained officers were able to do with red dots.

It helps to be comfortable with your choices and I’m not comfortable with carrying a gun without one in the pipe. After watching a double homicide this year it took a while for me to be comfortable with my gun in a holster. Mostly had it in my hand for a few weeks after.
PTSD is real. I can’t even imagine how you feel. I followed your posts about that day.
I’ve always carried condition one so no safety transition has me in a hammer fired, hammer down on one in the tube. Old habits (and mind set) at my age are hard to break.

Once you train with your red dot a little bit you will probably notice your 5-7 yard groups with iron sights look the same if not worse than your tighter groups at twice the distance with the red dot.

This was yesterday at 25 yards , 15 to the stomach and 15 to the head with a few misses

I agree with the practice, but I've not had any problems with Sig Romeo and I have 3 of them on different guns. I really like the circle dot, I think it comes to your eye faster when drawing.
