garage sales normally consist of baby clothes, household niknaks, kids toys and old bed sheets in this area, but I found a old pachinko machine with balls that just needs battery. It’s a Japanese game off chance/ gambling machine probably from the 70s

Any decent finds at your local moving/garage sales?

Nothing odd like this, but I've found hand tools and furniture dirt cheep at yard sales and estate sales before.
Movies and music can be basically free, if you want to bother to root around through hundreds of titles to find the one or two that you really want. I usually don't bother.

Nice find. I saw a show that discussed gaming in Japan. They set things up to get around the laws that forbid gambling. I had forgotten the name of the game, but I thought of the Japanese casinos as soon as I saw the little ball bearings.

You would win points in the game via ball bearings then get a prize such as stuffed animal or trinket. You’d take the prize to a shop the pachinko parlor owned and sell the to them for cash
Yeah, the program I saw showed them getting small markers and going to a nondescript place across the street to cash them in.
