Next thing you know, someone will be telling me that this will completely eliminate gas blowback, make me shoot 162% faster, with a 78% increase in accuracy and enlarge my manhood by 20%.

Actually, the squared off or sculpted carriers are the latest thing. It is the old Viet Nam style round carriers that are the bottom of the barrel design now. The more relief cuts in the carrier, the less gass in the face when suppressed, as it vents out the ejection port more easily. Plus, the lighter weight works better with the 300AAC round.
Still curious about why you think angles on a carrier body have anything to do with controlling gas flow?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, if your 300blk needs a lightweight carrier to function correctly, then your barrel is a piece of junk.
