That doesn't always work though, thats the thing. I had my cuts soaking in vinegar water for an hour and it still had the "fresh" smell. I guess it depends.I've heard a bunch of folks say "cut the gamey taste". A good way to do that is to soak for 15 minutes in water and some vinegar. Sucks all the blood right out and gets rid of gamy taste. 1/2 gallon water 1 cup white vinegar 15 min and the proceed to marinate or whatever.
