I worked in molding years ago. Our smallest machine could mold something of that size probably 12 at a time. The biggest ones we had probably 20 at a time. Of course alot of this depends on the design of the mold... Also keep in mind that they have NUMEROUS machines! There is also the assembly factor. Springs, followers, base plates. I also doubt they make their own springs..... Materials..we are talking hundreds of TONS of plastics...not to mention dye pellets....one hell of a supply chain to manage..

Magpul have said that they are focusing on just Black M2 and M3 mags for the time being so it looks like they are streamlining production to maximize efficiency.

Don't worry, the prices will come back down in a week or two..................riiiight. We got 6 months of higher prices on Pmags and I would guess that the prices will never again be $14.99.
