Help. I ran across a bunch of paper shotgun shells. Any one have an idea of what they are worth and an approximate age. 12 and 16 gauge as well as some .410s.

I have come accross and sold these, sometimes getting $5-$20 for an empty box. I never tried to sell the shells yet. Your shells look like they were exposed to alot of moisture and probably not going to go for much.

I don't think they are worth very much, some are in pretty rough shape. I have sold some old ones before, but seems like it was worth more to just use them. Afterall, they still make and sell paper shells.

Dad told me a funny story about my pap who used some old paper shotgun shells while rabbit hunting. Apparently, they got wet and then sat for a few years, the lead corroded into cylindrical slugs. The only rabbit he hit was completely tore in half from the slug.
