Patio Cover! - Here we go! Started this project!

After talking to the HOA folks, I had to put a hold into the project and submit the "Structural Change " application. Finally it got approved and I received the notice last Friday. I was planning to do some work on Saturday and Sunday, but the rain pushed us off.

Yesterday I got at least a little bit done. See pictures.

NOTE: The 6x6 posts, I had to scrape off some of them to be able to fit into the metal base. I used the old way of a handheld planer.

All framing and trimming are done. We finished caulking everything, and now it is ready for painting...
YES, we decided to make some "coffered ceiling" beams....

So, the Patio is ALMOST finished. Tomorrow I will install the fan. And later, sometime, I will install the gutter; won't do it now because we have an outside fireplace on the table, being planned and designed right now
