People… people. Ar-15s from PSA are $350-400 again. STOP listing your used guns for $700. JUST. STOP.

Very sad. No balls. I agree, want to make money but on here...those asking retail or over for what we can get in the store (even a 50$ less difference), they should be checked and told without being punished. They should be tar and feathered if they claim to be "part of the community" and/ or jump in to say anything about the issues plaguing this site.
Free market environment.
Nobody's forcing folks to pay too much ( your opinion) for stuff.
I remember the great hi-cap magazine panic, saw a guy selling 30 round AR mags out of the back of his pickup for $100 each. And suckers lined up to buy them.
It's what makes America great.

Price gouging doesn’t exist.
I believe price gouging absolutely exists.... but to call what someone wants for his Glock "price gouging" is laughable. Not even close. When there is 300 dudes selling a Glock for $500 and 3 guys selling the same pistols for $1200, it's not price gouging. It's either: A- someone who doesn't follow market trends or B-someone who's just silly.

Price gouging is charging $11.50 for a roll of toilet paper to the dude with dysentery

They set the price. You probably bought it on a whim. You seemed to really luck out.
That dealer probably had a little different situation. We all need to make money. Even if you're retired. I feel it was just making a bad situation worse. If that weapon had been priced at $2500, yes it would've probably been high for the times. But more in line at least. The show hadn't been opened long. It was like the only A3 in the show. No doubt the buyer was trying to feel like he was protecting his family.
What about the car lots that put addendum stickers on new cars for $1500 to $5K back during Covid? To ME that's gouging. But the difference is it's not like convenient stores charging $15.00 a gallon for gas after a hurricane because we NEED gas and have to buy it somewhere. You don't NEED a new Tundra at $2500 over MSRP. Nobody does. But they damn well did it and got away with it. Now a lot of them are going broke because I guess nobody told the new car lot guys that Covid is over.
BUT.... plenty of supposedly grown responsible adults went in and bent all the way over for those ridiculous prices. And that's their business and their right to do dumb ****. One of my old sales managers used to say "Don't get in the way of your customers buying decision." It's just a different version of "If your enemy is killing himself then stay out of his way."

This. Stop whining and keep scrolling until you find something you agree with.

I think he means price gouging "doesn't exist" because supply and demand exists. Both can be debated.
