People… people. Ar-15s from PSA are $350-400 again. STOP listing your used guns for $700. JUST. STOP.

Back in Y2K at a gun show I saw someone pay $3500 for a Colt A3. I asked the dealer how he slept at night. It was a really nice rifle, but.....
Yeah things got crazy during that assault weapons ban. People didn’t want them till they were told they couldn’t have one. Then everybody started trying to get em. Sure ain’t no shortage of em now, I have to look through all the tactical listings to see anything good like a browning that I might be interested in. I gave up and started using the search function to save time 😂

I still like a Colt A3 to this day. I've never had one, but it's OK. I see one every once in a great while. I like an older Browning as well. That Abolt II is about my most favorite bolt action. And also like that BAR MK3. I had a Safari I liked really well. I wish someone would make 20rd clips for it at a reasonable price. I like the BLR too

No disrespect here but I think you were trying to make a point about gouging not thievery. I once bought an old Volvo 240 sedan from a lady who had busted the rear window with the lawnmower and a rock. She asked if I would give her the cost of the tires she just put on it. That was about $300.00. Paid her, jumped it off and headed home. I don't know what the mobile glass guy had in the window he put in but he charged me right at $250.00 and it literally took him less than five minutes to install it. Did he make too much profit? I don't know and don't care. He had what I needed and got it done at a price I could afford so again I didn't care. Anyway those old "Brick Volvos" have a cult following. I listed it and sold it to the first guy that showed up for $3K. Was that too much profit? I don't know for sure but I don't think so. The point is that you make all you can while you can because you might go backwards on the next deal. Profit is not a bad word.
They set the price. You probably bought it on a whim. You seemed to really luck out.
That dealer probably had a little different situation. We all need to make money. Even if you're retired. I feel it was just making a bad situation worse. If that weapon had been priced at $2500, yes it would've probably been high for the times. But more in line at least. The show hadn't been opened long. It was like the only A3 in the show. No doubt the buyer was trying to feel like he was protecting his family.

When I was in the car bidness I used to ask guys with wedding bands on if they brought their "Decision Maker" with them. It was a PC way of asking if they had still had their balls or were they collecting dust in the wife's purse.
Sad, but true. And yes, sometimes we need to be reeled back into reality

Very sad. No balls. I agree, want to make money but on here...those asking retail or over for what we can get in the store (even a 50$ less difference), they should be checked and told without being punished. They should be tar and feathered if they claim to be "part of the community" and/ or jump in to say anything about the issues plaguing this site.
