Pickled Skrimps

Seems like you could put raw peeled deveined shrimp in the jar with the onions and pour the hot liquid in. There should be ample heat to cook the shrimp without overcooking them. Since I have easy access to excellent shrimp at a fair price I think I'll try the recipe as written and then my way and see which one is better.
 
I searched, found many shrimp recipes except Pickled
you got me....it wasn't pickeled...it is/was marinated shrimp....sorry

A half cup of olive oil, a half cup of lemon juice... three quarters cup of white vinegar. Honey? And...what? A cup of green olives and brine? Granish with raw purple onions? I mean...maybe it's just my palette but even just reading that recipe turns my stomach. :puke:
