Pigs PIGS PIGS COMING NORTH! BUTTS CO.

Hogs aren't new. Free-range hogs were common and control by hunting worked. Now we have too many large tracts of land with too few people allowed on it. Meanwhile landowners want .gov to compensate and trap at taxpayer expense.

Require landowners to open land to people before getting a handout. Meatpackers will handle the rest.

Testing by hog buyers shows wild pork has very low incidence of disease. 9/10 wild hogs make good sausage.

Everyone is looking for a handout! That why we have so many pigs!
Why do you think baiting deer pass so easy?
They new pigs population would boom!
It’s all a plan we are doomed!

In Central Georgia, South of Macon, hogs are plentiful. No way to control by killing them out. They simply are prolific in breading. In the 1960s, Fort Benning had hogs on Upatoi Creek swamp in the Northeast region of Fort Benning. Some type disease got into the herd and killed them out. However, the number there does not come close to hog problem today. Hogs are back out there on Fort Moore. It’s been stated the people that raised hogs simply left the gate open and the hogs escaped. People could not afford to feed them. (My uncle near Milan left his gate open and the hogs disappeared into the wild. He’s deceased). People around here have killed hundreds of hogs. There’s no difference today than yesterday, they multiply to fast. This is just my opinion and few facts I know. Not trying to start a fight with anyone.

The historical record shows hogs absolutely were free ranged and controlled in the past. Proof exists and isn't hard to find. Read a book.

Ever larger blocks of land being closed to the public is a well known and easily verified fact.

Hunting and trapping pressure moves hogs. Where do they go? They go to the havens provided by landowners who do not allow free access as they did in the past.

We recently cleared a 300 acre property of hogs in a month of shooting and trapping. They are not showing up on camera. All sign is old. The few we didn't get left. They will be back because all of the neighboring land has a low user to acre ratio and they are not active. If the public were allowed there would be no hog problem.
