I am not sure how true this is but, I've been told if you gut shoot a pig he will run off spewing blood and the other pigs will sense the blood and leave the area for a long time. We have done this on our property in Washington County and seems to reduce signs and camera sightings.

With all the discussion on hogs… I thought it was the Spanish that brought them over in the 1500s and some of them got loose?

So many houses going up around here you can't shoot at a coyote or hog without the fear of hitting someone's home

In high school I had a buddy that hog hunted in South Henty County and north Butts around Key's Ferry road. That was back in the late 80s. So they have been there for years. I think when they built the reservoir it probably pushed them further out. I know of them being along the Flint just south of me in Taylor county but I've never seen one in Upson. I'm sure there's some somewhere and don't care to see them. They screw up some property.

I killed my first hog in Wilkinson county in the mid 70s, they were on pine log in Bartow county at the same time, hogs been here for a while
