Pistols Cal .40 - Why They Are So Hated?

Actually I realized that it is better to keep them if you have one, because prices are so horribly down! Not worth selling!!! - Don't take me wrong, I do have 9mm and .45... I will add into my collection a .32 and a .357 just to have a variety. Also a .38 revolver, I want an old one, with wood grips!!! Sell me yours!!

40s&w was a compromise caliber created by LE's that couldn't handle 10mm.

It was pushed to the civvy community during the AWB... since most carry sized 40cal guns carry around 10rds.

It's pretty much useless today... with advances in performance of 9mm JHP ammo.

Aside from 1911 dudes that realized 7 rounds ain’t enough... a few LE agencies and USPSA major power factor... its trash.

This doesn't answer his question, it's just nonsense.

So I also have a .40 and love it. It shoots straight as a string and has good punch. The main reason I've heard for not using it is because you can get more 9mm bullets in a gun than 40s, and if you're a weenie arm you might not be able to control it vs a 9mm "gangsta" pistol with less kick.
