Pistols Cal .40 - Why They Are So Hated?

I'm wondering....how many here have been shot by both 9mm and .40sw rounds... He's the guy I want to chime in...... Where are you, you magnificent bastard!

Saw a guy that was shot w a 40. Two clean, almost surgical, shots through muscle. The bean bag ****ed him up though!!

I’ve seen head and chest wounds(DRT) of many calibers from .22-10mm.
9mm makes nice clean wounds but still dead, .40 more exit mess, .44 scatters brain and skull, but 10mm made by far the biggest hole and the brains were nonexistent. Coroner just shoved a rag in the back of the skull to keep the blood from going everywhere when they picked up the body.
However they were all DRT even the 22.
Don’t remember any with a .45, now that I think of it.

Since Glock has now the new P-80, I think it is something to think about to have a .40 cal, isn't it? it's just a double .40 (=p80).... - lol

You have more recoil with the .40 and even tthough it has more punch, you get less lead on target than 9mm. Which renders the extra punch worthless.
