Plane Crash

While I lived in AK I carried a ruger .357 daily. I would probably stick with that or a .44 and a .22/410 M6 scout.

Both are reliable. One is perfect for defense from bears, moose, and wolves while the other is for hunting small game.

Alaska? There's damn little, other than rabbits, that a .22 will do more than tickle up there. At least a 30-06 and a 44 magnum. I wouldn't even want a 10MM...just piss a grizzly or Kodiak right off. Alaska is home for the 3 largest species of bears in the world(Kodiak, grizzly and Polar), elk, caribou, moose, walrus, mountain goat and wolf to name a few of the reasons I'd have to carry the largest caliber I could.

I'd rather waste an 06 on a rabbit then have to face a grizzly with a 22.

The man speaks the truth...
