Plantar Fasciitis

So what would be the difference in that and this? This one says 3000mg lol. It’s what came up on Amazon. Also ordered some of these shoes.
3000 mg?? Per capsule?? Seems like alot, but OK. Mine are 425 mg per capsule, once a day and they work like a charm. And those Hoka shoes are about the most comfortable shoes on the planet. Worth every penny.

You'll have to get over this episode, which will be painful, but the Tart Cherry stuff should keep any repeat episodes at bay. Take it daily religiously. I haven't missed a day in 5 years and haven't had a relapse yet. YMMV.

I’ve been having this episode for well over a year and to top it all off I have Achilles tendinitis in my other foot for Probly 3 years now. Just wont go away.

Wow!! That's a long time. Along with the stretches, there's a special plantar fasciitis brace that you can sleep in. It's not a boot, but a brace that will keep your foot in the "stretched" position while you sleep. I got it at CVS and it seemed to help. Good luck!

Mine started a couple of years back after standing on ladders for several weeks while re-doing my decks, some of which are over 20 feet above the ground. My chiropractor (only doctor I've seen since 1977), suggested the Hoka's along with stretches. I now do leg lifts most days and include the foot/ankle/calf tendon stretch with each leg lift. I currently do 68 leg lifts and include the stretches. Assuming I turn 69 next year, will go to 69 left lifts and stretches, then continue increasing with my age.

So far, the stretches, walking 3 or more miles several times a week, and wearing the Hoka's (on my 6th pair in about two years) have eliminated the pain. The only problem with the Hoka's is the life of the tread, especially when walking on paved gravel surfaces. They seem to wear out faster than most other athletic shoes that I previously wore but they are the most comfortable that I have owned.

Beulah Land Beulah Land , if Hokas don’t feel good, try on a pair of Altras. They have worked wonders for me and I’m on my feet at least 5 miles every day. Best of luck!

If I had to guess, I probably walk a couple of miles a day at work so we will see how they last.

I've had three episodes of plantar fasciitis in the last 30 years. Each lasted 3 to 6 months. When I was in the Air Force the used ultrasonic heat and cold compresses. They also gave me a calf stretcher, an arch roller and custom orthotic inserts for my boots/shoes. The VA did pretty much the same thing the two other times I've had it.

You can get the calf stretcher and arch roller pretty much anywhere. A podiatrist can do the orthotics. Or you can try off the shelf variants.

Good luck. It is very painful, but it should pass.
