Makes me wanna do my back field but I haven't seen a deer there in the daylight since I put chicken coops back there.

Still waiting on some rain to wet the ground enough to plant. My plots look like dust bowls it's so dry here.

You're lucky, we planted 5 plots the weekend of the 10th and have gotten a grand total of almost a half inch of rain. Our land owner said it was't even enough dampen the soil. Not to mention, it was rock hard when we plowed it, took pretty much two days to get all the plots to a state that they could be planted.

We planted food plots at our lease back in late August. We have only gotten a couple of decent rains on it since. We likely won't plant until mid September next year.

I had dust in places I didn't think dust could get when we planted ours at the lease. It was DRY!

I used to hunt just a tad South of there. Macon County, not too far from where the last true river ferry in Ga was located.
