I do mine on the 1st of each month. I’m sure it’s not necessary but considering how much money I waste on things that are truly not necessary, it’s not a big deal.

Have you noticed a difference changing it so often? I change mine every 3 months.

change filters every 3 months, use quality pleated filters not the el cheapos you can see through.
learned my lesson when an evaporator coil became clogged with fur.

Seems logical
Ive changed a few that were way worse .
One house had 3 sucked up into the unit and the outside one was like that pic.

That’s the best approach to this matter. I give advise to people to buy those not so expensive filters, because the air flows better thru it and CHANGE it every 30 days, like you said “religiously” ….

Well, there are those filters called “Median Air Cleaners” which supposedly you change it every 12 months. They’re 5” thick filters, which you can buy Merv-11 or Merv-16…. I have them in my house. —Even though, I change them every six months.That’s the best approach to this matter. I give advise to people to buy those not so expensive filters, because the air flows better thru it and CHANGE it every 30 days, like you said “religiously” ….
