Point me towards a good SKS

I am thinking about purhasing a SKS rifle. I have done AR build ups in the past but I have no knowledge on the SKS. Can someone please point me towrads a decent starting point. (Brands, Pricing, What to look for, Stores etc...) I am looking for a good condition, quality and fully operational SKS that I can learn with and also build on. Thanks...

There were two on here I was on the verge of buying....one for $300 still in grease and one for IIRC $350 all cleaned up and nice looking. I don't know the specifics of em though.

If you are going to modify one...I would suggest a Norinco (Chinese) version. They are usually the cheaper variant of the SKS. I have one...but not looking to sell it.

The Russian ones are usually much more valuable if left in as-made form...and the Yugo version seems to be heavier with the grenade launching stuff still on it.
