polymer AR lower

I guess it comes from my love of really old collectible firearms. Even some old A1s are looking pretty nostalgic and are certainly collectible. When possible, I try and keep a "new" gun worth keeping around for future generations. Glocks are fine for "now" and allowed to slide because it's the only way they come. But My 1911s, Beretta and wheel guns are going to be heirlooms as are my ARs and other rifles and shotguns. It kinda reminds me of cars. Chrome bumpers and fins and big heavy bodied gas guzzlers...sure...but if 50 years from now, you roll up in a 2013 Kia, not only will nobody know what year it is, nobody will care.

Interesting on the '13 Kia reference. Try buying a 9 window VW bus, or a '62 VW Beetle. Many thought they were throw away vehicles. Today they can sell for 10 times their original selling price. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Poly lowers are a viable alternative to forged or billet.

VWs weren't made of plastic back then.

BTW, Hayata...Off topic but I just made my son sit through season 1 of Ultraman. I have it on DVD. It was my favorite show when I was a kid.

DAY-UM!

Can I borrow it one day? I'd love my boys to see it (with me in attendance, of course!).

Yeah, the Science Patrol ruled even though they did drive the Chevy Corvair!

Glad to see the tradition being passed on to the next generation!
