Polymer Upper receiver AR15

Anybody know of a good source for stripped polymer upper AR receivers? Would prefer flat top. They will be for a trial project.

Haven't seen a poly upper. You're probably going to have to get one made by a firm that does rapid prototyping.

Well Bushmaster did the carbon 15 years ago. I have seen a few others, but nothing I have had any experience with. Just trying to see if anybody on here has found any...

I doubt that you will find a polymer upper as Thats where all the stressors are when firing. The lower really doesn't have the stress of a bolt reciprocating like the upper does.

That just seems like a bad idea. The (very hot) barrel goes into the upper receiver. That could melt very quickly.

My Bushy with sustained fire during training held just fine. For the application these are for, glass fill poly will do nicely.

These are going to be plinking entry level rifles. Full auto might pose a problem, but thats not going to happen. Plus, who goes out rattling off 100's of rounds in rapid succession anyway? For familiarization, budget, possibly hunting, would be great applications for this.

Both KelTec 5,56 rifles & pistols have successfully utilized POLYMER uppers for 5 years now

yep, they use nylon 6 20% glassfill and mineral additive for heat resistance.
