Why would any team want to sign a new big money QB with 4 games left in the season? Lions ought to tank for draft position. Same as the Falcons.
Kaepernick could play, I think, if he were willing to sign at an appropriate offseason date, accept a backup roll to carry a clipboard, and earn 2nd string QB salary until such time that he might solidify a starting job. Kaepernick doesn’t want to be on the sidelines though.
