Not at all, but it decreases it for sure. It's only futile if the laws aren't enforced, and you can say that about any law.

Thank God for the controlled substance act of 1970. Before 1970 drugs were really out of control, and since then everything has gotten better.

There are plenty of case studies that are state sized. I'm not saying my experience is "scientific", but the difference between pre and post legalization is stark.

While more liberals is never good, I know some non pot smoking liberals. They tend not to take over by living in the parks "urban camping" and defecating wherever they please and shoplifting to support their non addictive habit and generally stinking up the place.

But they haven't gotten rid of the **** in convenience stores, now they have both. Remember the "Tax the hell out of it" philosophy that's so popular on here? Come to find out, those taxes come at a cost.

Nobody who has actually been to Colorado, or even California, would suggest it has no detrimental effect.
Having said that, once it's illegal in every state, and it will be, the dramatic change won't exist. Just another subtle slide.
