Yeah I don't go looking for them either. They just find me. So I take them to the vet for fixing and shots. Then I bring them home and feed them and let them in and out. They can stay or they can go. But they almost always stay.
By the sound of it you are running a Cat house, you dog!

12 yrs. old now the "Korat" before her lived to be 18 I waited 2 days after "Blinky" died & drove to Illinois (rescue) to get one just like her.
Korats have a TON of personality, very smart, and are like ninja's (especially in our black bath tub.

My friend back in Perry sits at a picnic table at his office/hideout and pops squirrels with a crazy expensive RWS pellet rifle. The local stray cat comes running as soon as he hears the first shot. They have a good system worked out.
I got her from an ODT member as a Kitten last May.
