Potential Native American Drum???

Today's goodwill find is a bit out of my realm of expertise. I know Navajo Jewelry well but not very well versed with other artefacts.

Anyone able to point me to particular tribe for this style of drum?

I am leaning towards it being contemporary but made in a traditional style.

The sinews are rock hard, almost like a rawhide bone, but the heads are still supple and ring out well without any dead spots.
