Powder Springs Gun Range OK'd to Serve Alcohol

They not opening till next year around this time. I know someone who knows someone who works there.

Looks like it could cause a violation of GA law:

O.C.G.A. § 16-11-134
Discharging firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge a firearm while:

(1) Under the influence of alcohol or any drug or any combination of alcohol and any drug to the extent that it is unsafe for the person to discharge such firearm except in the defense of life, health, and property;

(2) The person's alcohol concentration is 0.08 grams or more at any time while discharging such firearm or within three hours after such discharge of such firearm from alcohol consumed before such discharge ended;

OK I call BS on first hand experiences. In PA (My home state) every gun club I ever belonged to had a bar. They had tip sheets , they had bingo and ran rather well.

I have never seen a drunk on the range but have on WMA firing ranges in GA. I also believe the ability of those gun clubs to operate, have decent equipment, low membership fees are all directly related to their ability to run a bar and safe operations.

I still belong to this one. Take a long look... Dues $80 per year
