Like I always say. We are our own worse enemy. It's not about how it "should" work, it's about what it "looks like". Americans are fickle and impressionable. Any appearance of irresponsibility is only magnified in the minds of the un-informed.
Serving drinks on site is not necessary to serve the sport and only serves the range owners to make more money.

We should not cave to "public opinion"!
We should support this endeavor and show the tree hugging - bunny lovers as well as the "roll overs" in our own community that 99% of gun owners are responsible and professional.
Like has been said before, there are a ton of ranges in the Northwest that allow members to drink on premises. HOWEVER, once you touch a beer you are no longer allowed to touch a gun on premises.
The only reason it isn't more prevalent down here is because of all the tea-totalers.
