Power is still out

I'm drunk and shirtless and sitting by candlelight watching my phone battery slowly ebb away. Mine is the only block in the area that doesn't have power yet. Luckily only minor damage to the house.

How'd everyone else weather the hurricane?

And frankly, none of these candles are seasonally appropriate. I don't need to be smelling winter scents in autumn. This is unacceptable.

Hate to hear power has not been restored, but at least you are OK, and no major damage to your home. Oh, BTW, scented candles are horrible. I think they all just stink!

They give me a headache.... almost as bad as when I hang around @PearlDiver for to long.

Power is still out. I show up to work today and the power was out here as well until a few minutes ago

Generators, I learned the lesson during Andrew 15 or so years ago, mine is still in my garage since I moved to Georgia over 15 years ago. Best investment I made during my FLA years. Always have cold beverages and light

I'm on the south side. What sucks is all the houses around me have power. Still running my generator.
I look across the street in 3 directions, all good to go. Went about a mile down the road to where the tree
is leaning on the lines, Hasn't been touched. Road still blocked. Time for a good stiff scotch.

Grew up in Tampa. Glad to be gone from there. Way too many people in to small an area.
