Update!

Came back in his room after getting a bite to eat with the fiance and soon to be mother-in-law and my dad opened his eyes and recognized me. He reached out and grabbed my hand and patted me on the stomach like he was letting me know he was OK.

He is going in and out but it seemed to make him excited so we all stepped out for a while to let him relax.

Step by step. I consider that a big step forward.

He is coming to alot more. He is talking alittle bit more now as well. We just gotta keep the stress levels down but they are moving him to a more comfortable room. They check on him in longer intervals. He is alot more coherent now.

Just spoke to the doctor and looks like he is gonna pull through just fine. He actually feed himself with a spoon today. I'm so proud of him.
