Prayers for my son

Balad I got medevac'd to there once in 2004.

Prayer for your Son. And tell him Thank you for me and welcome home Brother.

If my advice means anything tell him to get another puppy ASAP. He won't have time to think about the loss.

Dave was there in ‘08, they called it “Mortaritaville” when he was there. He was too close to at least two mortars when they hit but fortunately he just got a little sandblasted. His CO tried to put him up for a Purple Heart for it but Dave just laughed it off and told him to save it for someone more deserving. I will pass along your msg and thanks brother. They have another dog named Nova his wife adopted last year and she’s crazy about Dave so hopefully he’ll be okay till he finds another one. Nova is 100 lb big bucket headed Amstaff/American Bulldog mix that looks like a freakin’ Rottweiler.

Prayers for your son’s grief. There are so many dogs out there that need a home. Once he can deal with it, maybe he will have the room in his heart to share life with another.

Oh he’s definitely gonna adopt another dog as soon as he’s ready. He’s like me, he likes dogs more than people. lol

:pray2: :pray2: :pray2: :pray2:

My brother had to put down his 12 yr old Golden Retriever yesterday too.
Sad.....

My condolences, I still get choked up when I think about my dogs that have passed on. I hope my dog Dixie out lives me, she’s a 50 lb Amstaff mix almost 7 years old. This is her literally right this minute, she’s snoring very quietly.

One of two challenge coins I carry in my pocket every single day without fail since they were given to me. The other one was given to me by a retired U.S. Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sergeant, two tour Vietnam War Veteran and great friend Jesse Nieto, R.I.P. my brother from another mother. His only son Marc was one of the 17 Sailors killed in the USS Cole attack October 12, 2000. How that came about is a whole other story I’ll have to tell ya one of these days….
