Prayers for my son

Tell him he’s in our prayers Brother. I don’t know if you’ve seen Waylon. He’s taller now. I’m not trying to get rid of hm , but would for like circumstances 👍🏻View attachment 8458187View attachment 8458188

I asked Dave about this dog, he said he’s not quite ready to get another dog yet. Fortunately his wife’s dog (Nova) likes him better than her. lol! I think he’s gonna be okay though, Nova has plenty of love to go around. We visited with them at Christmas and met Nova and we got to see Corbin before he passed. He remembered me right off the bat even though I hadn’t seen him in over a year and Nova was super sweet and gentle to be such a big scary looking dog. She’s not scary looking to us but other folks probably think so, dogs never have been scary to me though I just love em’ all. I sure hope you can find her a loving and deserving home for the pointer, he’s looks like a real sweetheart.

Just my .02 cents worth, but consider a German Shepherd. I have had 4 of them and there's never been a more loyal and trustworthy breed IMHO. I'll never be without one (or 2).

Love those dogs, but you never see those in the shelters. If one comes in and doesn’t get claimed by it’s owner they kinda “get gone” right quick to a friend or family member of somebody working there before anybody else can even try to adopt it. At least that’s my theory. When we got Dixie we were trying to adopt one of seven Amstaff mixed puppies, we didn’t care which one but we couldn’t even apply for one until they hit eight weeks old. Guess what happened on that day, all seven were gone before they even opened up that day. That was the 2nd time that’s happened to us. Well, Dixie turned out to be those puppies momma and she wasn’t quite two years old yet. When they brought her out she went straight to my wife with those sweet puppy dog eyes and then right over to me and we knew immediately she chose us. Not a single other dog out of probably 70-80 dogs we saw did that but her and she’s been with us since then. That’s how my son found Corbin, Corbin chose him at one of those adoption days that Pet Smart puts on occasionally. Every dog we’ve ever had was adopted one way or another or puppies from our dogs and the only dog we ever paid money for was Dixie and that was a whopping $72 lol! But that covered all her shots, rabies tag, spaying and her chip. Dave, like his ol’ dad really likes the Bully breeds, they’re freakin’ awesome dogs. But then again, EVERY dog we’ve ever had has been the best dog ever! We’ve had Huskies, Chows, Husky/Chow mixes, Australian Shepherd/Boxer/Husky mix and now we have Dixie and Bella who was my mother-in-law’s dog before she passed a year & a half ago. Bella can be a mean little sh*t when she wants to be. She’s a Dachshund/Jack Russell/Beagle mix, what a freakin’ combo! 😂 Built like a Dachshund with a JR kinda face and thinks she a damn killer. Lol!

Bella has actually chased a full grown doe right outta the yard while scaring the hell out of it. I thought that was pretty crazy until she cornered a HUMONGOUS 125 lb nine month old Cane Corso making it hide behind it’s owner in my living room! Even my Dixie cuts her a wide path here at home. :der:  Here’s a pic of Dixie & Bella, Bella is 10 and Dixie will be 7 in May. Just check out those “crazy demon dog” eyes on that rascal.:pound:

You're right, GSD's don't last long at shelters, they're great dogs. Here's a worthy GSD rescue that should be able to help if you want:

I know a few people who adopted from them. The GSD's are in a foster situation waiting to be adopted as they don't have a physical location. Please look into them, they are very well respected. Good luck!

We’ll keep him until someone (not Anyone) want’s him or until our girls move out. All that will work out , still praying for your son and you. God Bless & Help .
