Prayers Needed!

Wow. :( You got 'em Matt. Do keep us posted!
Just a quick update. My sister in-law is showing signs of improvement but is not out of the woods yet. My brother suffered an ischemic stroke. He had a couple TIA's about 6 weeks ago and they were unable to find the clot before yesterday. He has spent most of today resting but his speech is incredibly slurred and as of now he is immobile on his right side. He has been extremely anxious due to what he has experienced, but not being able to care for his wife while she too has been in the hospital has multiplied that feeling. I just ask that you continue to lift them both up in prayer to the Great Physician.

ODT brothers, my family desperately needs your prayers. My sister in-law has been hospitalized with covid pneumonia and is not doing well. Shortly after taking her to the hospital, my brother suffered a stroke. They are currently both in the hospital in separate rooms. They are both alone as nobody is allowed in the hospital if you are not receiving care. The most helpless feeling was being on the phone with my brother while he started actively having another stroke and hearing his speech go to gibberish and hearing the fear in his voice. I beg you to lift them up in your prayers. I thank you in advance.

Another update. The hospitalist for my sister in-law called me today to give me an update on her condition. She is not doing good at all. They are having a really hard time keeping her O2 up with 100% oxygen. They are adjusting it to a hyperflow to try to force more oxygen. I asked how close we were to her needing the ventilator and he said a lot closer than we want to be. She's 12 days in and her condition is worsening by the hour. The hospitalist for my brother called about an hour later and said he is not showing any progression good or bad. They are giving him medication to prevent another clot, but if they are successful, he has a long road of rehab ahead of him. Unfortunately my brother doesn't have insurance and they are finding it challenging to find a facility that will take him on.
