What’s wrong with Rem?

Seems since the early 2000's they're quality control has really gone downhill. I had purchased a Rem 700 sometime around 2003 & had issues with accuracy and rust. Turns out that being run by accountants and lawyers don't make for a very good rifle.
I sold mine a few years back & purchased a Bergara Woodsman recently to try the action, same action as 700 but better quality, & it's changed my thought on what it can offer.
I know there are people out there with good results with Remington, but I also hear talk about having to true the action, rebarrel, & restock to get good results.....seems to me that's rebuilding a factory rifle to be what it should have been from the start. I gave the company a shot, I was always a Savage fan but tried them all the same so to not have biased mindset. Lesson learned.
If I were to buy a Remington again it'll be from the 70's or older era when they took pride in what they built.
