Going back to skypagers after my contract is up
Wasnt the skypagers the one that you had to call a 1-800 number, then put the PIN number of the pager you are trying to page...before you could even send the page? I used to have one LOL

The 1 I had in the early 90's was a direct number for message sending..don't recall having to dial 2 numbers. That would be a PITA!
got a popup on my AT&T phone last week that amber alert and gov alert were added. I turned it off don't pay/or do any texting.
Vz Razor M. Yep, it has the Presidential alert, and it is grayed out (says Mandatory Alert), so no way to deselect it.
I guess when the martial law is declared it will give PTB a way to tell us what to do.
I'll have to check my Sprint phone, I do not pay for any messaging on it.

All the Iphones Ive checked so far have a "government alert" section where it just shows amber alerts and emergency alerts
Just another reason I am happy with my work provided ancient blackberry.

I've got the iphone 4s and it's up to date on updates but all it has is the amber alert and emergency alert, I can turn both of them off though.
