Printing a thread

This may be an odd question. I'm wondering if there is a good way to print a thread in a nice, compact form. I know I can just hit Ctrl+P and print each page, but there is often a lot of empty space. I tried one of the mobile styles and didn't see too much difference. Any thoughts?
