Anyone know of some public land to shoot on near the metro Atlanta area? Could also throw like $30 to someone to do some target shooting if they‘ve got a big property. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yeah it’s super tough to find a simple plot of land to shoot on. You’d think there’d be tons of places to just shoot some rounds off considering we’re in Georgia, but all of the places are either super expensive or super far.
Or other people shot there before left a mess and now they don't want to have anymore people out there they call it a liability now but that is understandable I might have felt the same way
Join a Gun club there are several outside of Atlanta.
Yes that is an option, but ideally I don’t want to spend too much. I’d rather just shoot on someone’s property, clean up my brass, and head home. that’s what I do in milledgeville but I don’t have anyone in Atlanta that I know of with a big property

Well drive to Gunsite Hills in Lexington. He charges $25/day and has AR500 out to 700 yards. You better have thick skin if you go there, Chief does NOT mess around, it’s his way or the highway.
