I'm thinking he wants us to comment on the "blackout Monday"? I've never heard of such until now so it must not be that big of a deal or too new to have caught on..
Now as far as being a traitor to your race is it because you're with someone of a different culture or a different color? I see nothing wrong with the fact that your significant other is of a darker skin as long as they're American first and foremost. Not trying to create enemies here but I see that is most of the problem with racial inferiority or superiority. It's a cultural divide to me that causes friction..Aren't we all Americans? Then shouldn't we act like it? This Michael Brown crap to me is unamerican. Why don't we destroy the fabric of our towns because of said "injustice" when the justice system hasn't even had a chance to operate as it's designed to do... Rant over.

• 1 cup (150g) self-raising flour
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 1 egg, lightly beaten
• 3/4 cup (180ml) milk
• 50g butter, melted

Beat in the egg and then milk at little at a time until batter is smooth and lump-free.
In a hot pan or flat grill, brush butter over cooking surface and pour 1/4 cup measures for each pancake.
When large bubbles form on the surface, flip over and cook until lightly golden on the other side.

So, if this guy had a Mexican girlfriend, you would have a problem with him?

My only comment is that when people of different cultures and backgrounds tried to amalgamate into a single society, that society disintegrated: Egypt, Mexico, India, Peru and even the fall of the Roman Empire are testament to that.

Other than that, I'm as lost as the rest of you as to what this guy really wanted. Maybe validation for his choices? If so, if he needs your validation, he's not too sure of his relationship and would be better served not to get too serious about it.

Bait for something. I could care less about black out day. I also hope you are happy as I make no judgement about your choices based on ethnicity I could care less as long as you leave others with the same choices.

Neither do I have a problem with him now or if his gf was Mexican, Chinese or news flash Muslim. To me there's no difference as long as they're American in cultural values or trying to get there. That's what makes this country what it's supposed to be...somewhere along the way we all lost track of the fact that none of us were original Americans. We made America what it was based on a few similar values in the beginning. The reason was simple, we wanted a better place to reside....
