I am looking at mk111 uppers...pro, mod 1 or mod2? really pro vs mod1...mod 1 has forward assist...not sure which to get.

I'm more partial towards the mod 2 over mod 1. Forward assist is good to have if you need it. Otherwise, I'd go mod 2.

if that's the case...not sure I care about weight savings...can get a mk111 pro upper for like $650.

Mod 1 are like 850 and the pro is like 650. Looks like mod 2 is 1300. Same barrel, bcg, piston on all. Only reason to go mod 1 is forward assist i guess.

Mod 2 is their top of line but no forward assist, mod 1 is their general go to, pro line is entry line but believe it still uses same barrel and internals, just different upper receiver and handguard
