So I have this Glock 19 Gen3 which I'd like to mount a Trijicon RMR to.

One thing though ... the G19 is a limited Larry Vickers Tactical edition, entirely coated in a nice flat dark earth (FDE) color.

Should I have the slide professionally cut by Jagerwerx, Suarez, Battlewerx, or one of those other companies so you can mount the RMR? Might hurt trade/sell value...

Or should I buy a new slide that's already cut -- keeping the original slide intact? If that's a better route to go, any recommendations on who sells good, pre-cut Glock slides? I'd like it to be cerakoted in FDE, to match the frame. :noidea:

I would opt for a new custom slide. When you tired of the MRO system you can just pull the slide off and sell it on Ebay for about what you paid for it. The other way you would never get your money out of it. You would end up deciding to have ports cut in it, serrations etc.. You can already have one with all that and wouldn't have to wait for custom work be done on your gun.

I’d take it to the local peeps at MAC Defense in Woodstock and have them cut it. It won’t hurt your resale and you can put a cover plate on it if for some crazy reason the RMR doesn’t suit you.

I’d agree with this. Will can do the RMR cut and not touch the rest of the slide so other than where the RMR sits you will have the original color coating. Add a cover plate that’s coated to match and ask for even more if you sell it since it’ll be the better than a MOS version because it’s a dedicated slide cut.

Also, in case you weren’t aware of it. The RMR and the Holosun models share the same footprint so you or anyone that buys it has options other than just the RMR.
