Question for the LEOs!

I’ve known many people that have been cited for phone use by these for phone use.
These are the ones lifer high in the air looking down into cars. Maybe they have a different name?
Edit they are Portable AI-assisted traffic cameras.
These aren't the Flock cameras. Flock cameras are typically on a black post with a solar panel, with the camera mounted so they can see the plate. They link to the hive with cell phone technology.

When it's all said and done, Flock is American owned / operated. Three Ga. Tech boys started it all. For surveillance and crime prevention, so it's all good. But the speeder cameras at schools are raking in the cash. Where that cash goes is hard to pinpoint.

Seems like most rural counties the Sheriff office is the highest paid and biggest consumer of the budget. They run themselves and have no oversight from the county just get their budget approved every year without question. Civil asset forfeiture and insane amounts of tickets along with crowded jail cells full of murderers and poor bastards who did a traffic offense locked up together is obscene. Being a policeman shouldn’t be a career to get rich it should be a calling to help your community.

IDK any rich cop. I've known a few do well in private sector but not during their LEO career

I was referring to rural counties where most people work an hourly rate and many minimum wage while patrol cops get 6 figure salaries- I know of plenty

I’ve never known one “cop” making six figures. Some bigger counties the Sheriff themselves maybe.
But average overall Ga salary is 52k a year for established officers.
Of course there are variables, but I’m calling BS.

Sheriffs office budget is set by the county commissioners in most cases.
The pay of the office of the Sheriff is set by the state, determined by the population and tax base.

The cops that live around here are in the $750k homes with all the bells and whistles. Must be all those tax breaks
