Question on home A/C blowong cool not cold

We had that happen. It was actually slowly leaking from the Schrader valve.

I would recommend you not replace this unless you know what you're doing unless you want to accidentally know what frost bite feels like.

Have an AC tech check for leaks first and go from there.

UPDATE: the outside A/C unit appears normal - no bulging, no burned, has power, etc. However, when I run it I think the compressor is not kicking on. Here is a short video clip. About 4 seconds in you can hear that HUM kick on but then it stops that noise and unit runs, blows cool air inside home, but no hot air is expelled outside at unit.

Coils and inside shroud all look clean.

Could have just aged out or worn out but I'd check for other possible causes for it to go bad to be safe.
