Totally agree… diamond blade on a battery circular saw and keep it wetCut the tile, do it right the first time. If you run the frame on top of the tile, you stand the chance of cracking the tile as the wall is built out (and gets heavier). I also agree with what @THREEJAYS said about replacing the flooring at a later date.
I’ll co-sign to this plan. I would recommend cutting it a bit wide to detach the tile from the wall. Make sure to plan where the doors are. It might sound dumb but you might get tunnel vision and forget to stop your tile saw cut at the future door frames.Cut the tile and bolt the bottom plate to the slab, otherwise every time a hammer hits that wall on the build out will transfer to the tile. Use a 4”side grinder or circular saw with diamond blade and keep wet. Be careful when you start with the hammer and chisel. Good luck!
