Question regarding installing a partition wall in a room with a tiled floor

Cut the tile, do it right the first time. If you run the frame on top of the tile, you stand the chance of cracking the tile as the wall is built out (and gets heavier). I also agree with what @THREEJAYS said about replacing the flooring at a later date.
Totally agree… diamond blade on a battery circular saw and keep it wet

Remove a row of tile where the wall is going to run. Install your walls in the slab and secure them. Retile. This is the way. IlTrying to cut and pull up the tile won’t work. It’s just going to crack. Pull up a row and hopefully you can find a matching tile to replace it.

Cut the tile and bolt the bottom plate to the slab, otherwise every time a hammer hits that wall on the build out will transfer to the tile. Use a 4”side grinder or circular saw with diamond blade and keep wet. Be careful when you start with the hammer and chisel. Good luck!

I’ll co-sign to this plan. I would recommend cutting it a bit wide to detach the tile from the wall. Make sure to plan where the doors are. It might sound dumb but you might get tunnel vision and forget to stop your tile saw cut at the future door frames.

Size tile and grout joint? If you ever want to reverse, you could set anchors in the grout joint. You can then use sill sealer along the bottom plate and bolt it down. It will still be solid but easily removable and repairable as you will just have to regrout.
