Quick weight loss COST ?

I did Quick Weight Loss almost 18 years ago. It was over $600 back then for a few months' support. IMO, too expensive.

I have lost 44 pounds since 2/25/2013 by just writing down everything I eat so as to stay under 1,000 calories, but still eat 3 x per day minimum. Everything I eat is fresh, not processed, cooked by myself and I have no condiments, no butter, no bread, no rice, no potatos (you get it?). It is not fun, but it is not hard if you have strong willpower. I have OCD and control freak issues, so it's easy for me. I just look at it as something else I can totally control.:D

I think I have the answer to your question.

I did the quick weight loss clinic bit. They want to sell you a bunch of expensive shake type stuff but you dont have to take it. You just want the drugs. I think its about $75 bucks a month to go in( after initial consultation fee of $100 bucks). Just tell them you want the Adipex. Thats the speed they give you. It works because you are on a straight geek for 20 days a month, and I do mean a STRAIGHT GEEK! They write you a prescription for pharmaceutical amphetamine and tell you to come back in a month. Your appetite will decrease and your activity level will increase. This whole motivating effect is absolutely because you are on drugs, speedy drugs.

I do this every once in a while to drop a quick 15 in a month but you gotta take it easy. I never found the pills to be habit forming but they undeniably can be and if you over do it the side effects can get bad. This is what to expect if you go to weight loss clinic. It works but remember, they dont give you gas station diet pills. They give you lab grade speed.

Wow... hot dogs? sodium rich deli meat? ice cream? processed foods? Sorry, dude this is not a balanced nor healthy diet in my opinion. I've dropped 18 pounds in 6 weeks eating a high protein, balanced diet of fresh food (not processed), maintaining a diet under 1800 cals and increasing my physical activity. It's not rocket science, just discipline. The best thing I've found to keep my discipline in check is food journaling. I use MyFitnessPal app.

He didn't ask for healthy or balanced. He asked for quick. That's what this is. Quick. I lost 16 or 17 lbs. in a month. It was designed by a team of cardioligists to put fat asses on before heart surgery. I totall agree this isn't the best answer. But it works.

As far as cost goes, not much. Most likely less than an average grocery bill for the week.

True...but I was contrasting that with the alternative which is healthier, longer standing, lifestyle changes that netted the same weight loss results as your diet. So far for me, 6 weeks in 19.4 lbs lost so far. Eating healthy, being active, journaling my intake... simple as 1-2-3.

btw... i did Omnifast some 8 years ago and dropped 67lbs in 16 weeks. It cost over $100 a week in shakes and appointments. It gave me a quick weight loss, but once you return to earth and eat normally, you put it all back on typically.

Long term lifestyle changes is the key.

I basically copied the weight watchers plan and dropped weight fast, and also exercised by running 3 to 4 miles at a time 3 times a week. And drink plenty of water!! I went from 194 to 168 in three months. It's all about discipline.

I lost 32 pounds on weigh watchers in 5 months. I am male. I did it online. It took me 3 weeks to get used to it. Once you learn to "work" their new points-plus system, you won't believe how much weight you can lose safely without starving yourself or grealy depriving yourself. I was a former athlete, but don't enjoy exercise unless it's throwing a baseball 90 mph; I was a pitcher. I have kept the weight off easily for close to a year. I am now a lifetime member and it cost me nothing as log as you weigh in once a month. You don't have to go to meetings. If you want more details just send me a pm and we will talk. I went from 206 to 174 (the weight I have basically been the majority of my life...I am 49). I am off my cholestoral medicine and down to just 5mgs (from 20 mgs) of my HBP medicine which I can actually eliminate. Other than a little yard work and on ocassional short walk, that's my only exercise. I do know many that have used QLW with much success too. Good luck. Just give me a holler, if I can help.

Best,

Tony
