Radio losing reception in 1993 Jeep

More likely you have a tuner/radio issue as any antenna should work fine on a Wrangler, so long as you are not too far away from civilization to pick up stations!

bad ign condenser can interfere with reception but its usually a
static that dont come and go

bad antenna cable connection would be my second guess

I'd swap the fuse out first.

No, but I did grease up the speaker bearings...

a lot of the older jeeps have ****ty spring loaded antenna connections behind the glove box that come apart.
