Always clear the magazine
Leave the slide open,
unless you know any different all guns are loaded.
Always wear ear protection, eye protection and gloves if you like.
Guns when not in use go on the range mat, their clamshells or the range towel with action open.
Muzzle down range at all times even with action open.
Just a few things I try to do when at the range. I always keep a med kit in the car in case anyone has any accidents at the range I shoot at (south Winds). Safety keeps from being dead is what my dad told me and I believe him to this day. I accidentally swept him with the muzzle once and didnt shoot for a year because of that incident. Some people just need to be taught better.

I was somewhat in shock seeing it, but I called 911 as the man wished and thankfully the range staff came out and helped him get his hand wrapped up until EMS arrived. I'm just glad the gun was pointed down range and not my way....
