Rattlers in GA

I’ve seen a few rattlers here in GA. The bite is very mean.

Every rattlesnake I see is that big, I wouldnt yell, jump, & fire off so many rounds if it was a small one.

I got one in Twiggs county that was 62 inches 12 rattles and a button and a full grown squirrel inside of him.

When I was working grounds crew at Ft. Pulaski in summer of ‘60, we killed a 7 foot one. Hated clearing the scrub palmetto patches, they were full of smaller ones. Guy was clearing an area with a ‘dozer once, saw one, ran over it with a track. It came up riding on the track, he bailed out.

Wow. This was killed on property next to club I run years ago. It was Screven county near coopervile. I've been by that club a few times and met him. It was right around 6 ft. If memory serves me correct. There are bigger around here.
